Shannon Griffith, also known as Coach Griff, has had a successful career in college football. With over 20 years of experience, Coach Griff has become a respected figure in the sport. He has coached at various colleges, including MAC School Ball State University, where he coached the Quarterbacks under former Indiana Head Coach Bill Lynch from 1994- 2002. Coach Griff was a part of 2 Mid-American Conference Championships at Ball State, first in 1989 as a player and 1996 as a coach. His leadership and expertise have impacted the players he has coached and the entire football community. Coach Griff's dedication to the sport and his ability to mentor and develop young talent has impacted the game. His passion for football and his commitment to excellence have been evident throughout his career, leading him to be voted by his fellow coaches as the Heartland Colligate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2012, leading the Manchester University Spartans to a 2nd Place finish and a 6-2 conference record. He continues to be an influential figure in college football, and his Offenses at Manchester hold several records and are among the best in the HCAC. Griffith’s son, Isaac, played for Indiana as a Wide Receiver under Kevin Wilson, but his career was cut short after suffering a significant knee injury vs Penn State in Happy Valley. Coach Griff created and host The Hoosier Football Tailgate for the BLEAV Network. You can hear him on Indiana Sports Radio with Jim Coyle every Thursday on Sports Radio Stations throughout the Hoosier State.
